Annual Dinner.

This year’s dinner will be held on Friday, 4th October at Glenmore House, 6 The Crescent, Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 4BN (www.glenmorehouse.co.uk).  There is plenty of free parking behind the building and cars may be left overnight but the site is locked at midnight until 8.00 am Saturday and the registration number must be given to bar staff.  Surbiton BR station is 5 minutes walk away.


The Society AGM will commence at 6.15 pm and dinner at 7.20 pm.  The function is due to finish at midnight and the bar will be open from 5.00 – 11.45 pm.  We must be off the premises by 12.15 am.  Wine will be provided on the tables but members will be charged for all other drinks.  More expensive wine is available but you will have to pay the difference.


The dinner cost remains the same at £30.00 for members and £40.00 for guests.  As for last year, a reduced price of £20.00 will be charged for first-time dinner attendees.


The menu is as follows:


Starter                  Salad of Smoked Chicken breast with Beetroot Salsa

                   Or        Platter of Avocado, Buffalo Mozzarella, Beef Tomato and Black Olive

Sorbet                    Glenmore Sorbet

Main Course        Traditional Roast Rib of Beef, Chateau Potatoes, Yorshire Pudding and French Beans

                  Or        Pan roasted Loin of Cod, Lemon Pesto and Confit of New Potatoes

                  Or        Vegetarian main course du chef

Dessert                  Kiwi Pavlova with Orange Syrup

                   Or        Selection of English & continental cheeses, celery, grapes, quince jelly & biscuits

Coffee                    Filter Coffee & Glenmore Chocolate


The dress code is “smart casual” i.e. jacket & tie for men and a similar level of attire for ladies.


Voluntary Contribution to the Charitable Trust

This year we haveagain included a section where you can give a voluntary contribution to the Charitable Trust whilst making payment for your dinner.  This contribution will be made to the RPFPS bank account and the Society will then pass the donation to the Trust.  The current fundraising project agreed with the school is the reinstatement of a permanent stage in the main hall. Further details will be available at the AGM.
